The start of the motorsports season begins at the Daytona International Speedway for the Rolex 24 Hours. It’s a weekend filled of racing and fun at the track. It all starts Thursday with getting a campsite set up for the weekend while cars are racing around the track in practice sessions. Friday brings the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge with the BMW M Endurance Challenge that’s a 4 hour race. The main event begins Saturday afternoon after the fans are able to walk pit lane and get up close and personal with the cars and drivers, if they can work with the crowd. This year was the races largest attendance of 50,000 fans! The Flag drops and its nonstop action for 24 hours. Except in this years race it was accidentally ended one lap early making it the Rolex 23:58 of Daytona. Despite that there were many intense battles through out the race with the Porsche Prototype bring home the win over the Cadillacs who were right on their tail.
